Cape Byron Lighthouse

I've been looking through some of the shots I took on the holiday, (its hard to share a camera between two snap happy artists but we sort of manage). I have a thing about taking pictures of lighthouses, the are always in such beautiful places, always a hike to get to and Cape Byron was certainly a hike well worth taking. So, here are three hand held pix in sequence as the light faded on the day...

There is a beautiful eeriness to your lighthouse pics. Maybe I've seen too many movies, but to me they convey a sense of untold stories.

jr thanks, I was having a great time up at the lighthouse Jim couldn't get the camera off me...didn't want to leave as I was just loving the images...BUT I got really, really scared walking on the roadway down with no lights and didn't know how long it was going to take to get to civilisation...aghhhhh!

a reason to paint....yes the image of the setting sun in the doorway of the lighthouse was one which particularly moved me...
