My love of cars (and shoes) is portrayed in my latest painting which is to be exhibited in California at Elliott Fouts Gallery Sacramento, CA in the invitational exhibition "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" which opens March 3 and closes April 5 2012.

Well 2012 is going to be a big year for me...
2 Solo exhibitions...group shows, commissions and a portrait of my great uncle!

My first exhibition of the year is an invitational group show called "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" which opens on March 3 2012 at Elliott Fouts Gallery Sacramento, CA I have a small work in this show, the image has been a lot of fun producing, using the neighbours beautiful Pontiac Firebird and his wife's legs!

My solo exhibitions begin at Beaver Galleries, Canberra opening Aug 16th, followed by Catherine Asquith Gallery, Melbourne opening October 16th. In conjunction with the Melbourne show, I will be producing a large catalogue with an accompanying essay by Professor Ted Snell.

I will keep my readers updated as the work progesses this year...its going to be a VERY BIG year as I said!

My work is currently on show in Adelaide at the Safe at Home exhibition which is a Fundraising exhibition curated and presented by Cube Contemporary Art Projects in conjunction with Victim Support SA.

The Exhibition images centre are around the theme of women and children in our community and safety of this demographic from domestic and family violence.

The Artists in the exhibition include, Mishka Borowski, Claire Bridge, Dagmar Cyrulla, Dianne Gall, Michelle Giacobello, Erika Gofton, Stewart MacFarlane, Stephen Magsig, Brian Martin, Janette Moore, Ilona Nelson, Deborah Paauwe, Tom Phillips and Mary Jean Richardson.

In conjunction with the "Safe at Home" exhibition, I have released a small editioned print of "We will be Safe Here". If you purchase before Dec 10 I will donate a portion of proceeds to Victim Support Services in SA. There are only 5...so if you would like one, get online and purchase 1 soon!

I am very pleased to announce that I am now represented by Catherine Asquith Gallery in Melbourne. I will be sending her some new work next month and I will have a solo show in October 2012. So, if you are in Melbourne check out the stock room soon for new work, look out for the Christmas show at the end of 2011 and will keep you posted about future events as they occur. For now though, I'm back to the easel...

Forthcoming shows

I am currently working on two exhibitions, both are group shows. The first is an exhibition in Perth called "Reconfigured", which opens Wed 10th November and runs until Fri 26th November 2010 at Emerge Art Space The show will be from various painters using figurative realism as a theme for the show. I will post images closer to the date.



The second one opens on December the 11th and runs until the end of January 2011. It is an exhibition by a group of artists who have met through a private online forum and have got together to exhibit works at the Art Gallery of Ballarat, the show is curated by Amanda van Gils and is called "Net Work".
